Eezzy Group Foundation backs Team Ghana with GHS 800,000 for the 2026 Commonwealth Games

Overview

The Eezzy Group Foundation has pledged GHS 800,000 to support Team Ghana ahead of the 2026 Commonwealth Games. The sponsorship was unveiled at a ceremony at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, held under the theme “Inspiring Champions for National Pride” and attended by sports administrators, athletes, corporate leaders and other stakeholders.

The backing arrives at a decisive moment. With the Games running from 23 July to 2 August in Glasgow, Scotland, Ghana’s athletes are deep in intensive training camps — and the funding is set to ease the cost of that final push, covering training, equipment, logistics and athlete welfare.

Stakeholders at the event commended the Foundation for its confidence in Ghanaian athletes and urged other private institutions to invest in sports development. With improved training conditions and support now secured, Team Ghana turns to fine-tuning its preparations, aiming to deliver memorable performances and bring the nation pride in Glasgow.
