Overview
Eezzy Group Foundation, in partnership with Sentuo Oil Refinery, has donated ten fully-equipped ambulances and a specialised operational pickup vehicle to the Ghana Police Service. The gift is aimed at strengthening emergency medical response, police healthcare and life-saving operations across the country.
The Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, received the fleet and described it as a direct investment in the safety, health and dignity of Ghanaians. Emergency medical transport in Ghana remains under strain — long travel distances, growing urban populations and an uneven spread of vehicles — and the new fleet is meant to close some of that gap.
“We say thank you so much for this donation,” the IGP said. “These ambulances are going to be used to save lives.”
He confirmed the vehicles would be deployed immediately to the regions with the greatest need — including one bound for the police hospital in Tamale, to ease long-standing transport difficulties in the north — and assured the public that the service has the personnel and technical capacity to run and maintain them.
